About THE AUTHOR
Jared Young’s short stories and essays have appeared in places like The Millions, The Walrus, Maisonneuve, and have been anthologized in collections by McSweeney’s and Feathertale Review. He has been a writing resident at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, and Residencia Corazon in La Plata, Argentina.
His first novel, Into The Current, was longlisted for the ReLit Award.
The trailer he wrote and directed for Into The Current was the first book trailer to screen at a major international film festival, where it beat Stranger Things and Westworld to win both the Audience and Jury Awards at SXSW.

Jared grew up in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, lived briefly in Bangkok, Thailand, and currently resides in Chelsea, Quebec, with his wife and two children.
